First Poetry Slam Competition of the Year!

On Tuesday afternoon, October 28, the poetry slam group traveled to Rambam Mesivta Yeshivah to participate in the first slam of the year. With Ms. Robinson's guidance, Fanya Donin headed the committee and Raquel Shalam, Zack Fernandez, and Merle Dweck performed their poetry. Members from Ms. Stein's creative writing class came as well to cheer on our poets. Each participant was to write one Free Verse style poem on the importance of Expression & Speaking Out. The other poem was to be a 'Terza Rima' on the topic of Unity/Achdut. We would like to congratulate Fanya for making it to the finalist round.
