On Lag B'Omer, Sunday, May 18th, the Tzedakah Commission hosted their last event for the year. We hosted a Hoops for Hatzolah basketball tournament. We were so happy to see how excited students were to spend the day playing ball with friends while raising money for a worthy cause. The winning team was made up of Jacob Silvera, Mark Esses, Isaac Misrachi, and Sammy Maya. It's been a pleasure and great honor to work in the Tzedakah Comission for the past 4 years helping to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. I have been so fortunate to be able to work with the most amazing students over these last few years. Finally I would like to thank the heart, soul, and brain of the commission, Señora Ovadia. If it weren't for her the commission would be nothing. I woukd like to wish her best of luck in the future. Next year's head commissioners will be Jack Sasson and David Idy.
