Last week, 16 Yeshivah of Flatbush sophomores and juniors attended a college trip to visit Barnard College and Columbia University.
We split up to tour the campuses of Barnard and Columbia. After, we reconvened at the Kraft Center (the joint Barnard-Columbia Hillel) for lunch, and to hear brief info sessions from our Columbia admissions rep, Javier Plasencia, and from Michelle Biller-Levy, a Barnard admissions rep (and soon to be new Director of College Guidance at Flatbush)! After, several current students, including former Flatbush students, Rina Kattan, Frieda Shalam, and Shelly Hafif, spoke with the group and answered our questions. We also took a tour of the Kraft Center.
